# Reset password

Legacy settings for password reset email – the self-service reset from the login screen no longer uses them.

The **Reset Password** category under **Communication** is a legacy setup that is no longer used when users reset their password from the login screen. Self-service reset via **Forgot your password?** sends the email with the sender address from **Outgoing Email address** under **SMTP Server**, and the link to the "Choose a new password" page is created automatically – you do not need to enter anything here.

## How to find the category

Open **Financial** → **Setup** → **Settings** → **Communication** → **Reset Password**.

Access to view the settings requires the relevant permissions. If you do not have access, contact your administrator.

## Settings in the category

The category contains two settings: **Email Link** and **Author E-Mail**. They do not change the reset from the login screen, and you do not need to fill them in.
