# Service card

Service card for a serial number item with master data and scheduled service steps with dates and prices. Started from the item or a service call via the printer icon.

## Service card

The printout **Service card** creates a combined service card for a single serial number item (an item with its own serial/chassis number, e.g. a bicycle). The card gathers the item's master data and an overview of the scheduled service inspections, so you can hand it over to the customer or attach it to the item.

At the top, the item's details are shown: designation and serial item text, serial number/chassis number, product identification, owner/customer (possibly with customer number), sales date as well as any lock code and key number.

Below that, up to six scheduled service steps are shown. The service steps are derived automatically from the item's service category (service callout): for each step, a service date is calculated from the item's service start date plus the step's interval (days, months or years), and the price for the step is shown. There is also room for a remarks field.

### Parameters

The service card has **no visible criteria**. It builds automatically on the serial number item or service call you start the printout from — so you do not need to select an item or dates in a parameter window.

The layout is preconfigured and controlled behind the scenes, including which logo is shown, the heading of the card, as well as whether prices, customer number, remarks field and step descriptions should be included. These settings are not adjusted in the print window itself.

### How to find it

The service card is started directly from the item or service call it concerns — not from an ordinary report list:

1\. Find the desired serial number item, or open the service call the item is part of. 2. Click the **printer icon**. 3. Select **Service card**.

The card is created as a PDF and can then be printed or saved.

### Settings support can configure

The service card has a range of settings that control its appearance and content but are not shown in the print dialog. They can be turned on/off or adjusted by support per company. If you want the service card customized, contact support and refer to the relevant setting below. The technical name is shown in parentheses.

**Logo**

- Show or hide the top logo and choose which logo is used (hideTopLogo, logoName)

- Show the logo at the bottom instead of the top (logoAtBottom)

- Adjust margins (left/top/right) on the logo (leftPaddingOnLogo, topPaddingOnLogo, rightPaddingOnLogo)

**Heading and texts**

- Customize the heading, e.g. "Service card" (headLine)

- Show the customer number before the customer's name (showCustomerNo)

**Serial-number item**

- Customize the text for the serial-item number, e.g. "Own no." (productInstanceNoText)

- Customize the text for serial number/chassis number (serialnoText)

- Customize the serial-item type label in singular and plural, e.g. "The bike's"/"bikes" (productInstanceUnitDescription, productInstanceUnitsDescription)

- Customize the label in front of the serial-item text, e.g. "Re.:" (productInstanceLabel)

**Other**

- Hide the remarks field (hideNote)

- Hide all prices (hidePrices)

- Show a description on each step (showStepsDescription)
