# Accounts payable balance

The report shows what the company owes its suppliers as of a selected fiscal date, aged across due-date intervals.

## Accounts payable balance

Accounts payable balance shows the suppliers' (creditors') total balance calculated as of a selected fiscal date. For each supplier you see the total balance and the overdue balance, and the amount is broken down by age intervals so you can see how old the debt is — from **not yet due** through intervals such as **0-1 week**, **1-2 weeks**, **2 weeks-1 month**, **1-2 months**, **2-3 months** and up to **over 3 months**, in addition to any earlier overdue amounts.

The report is used to get an overview of what the company currently owes its suppliers, and to assess how much of the debt is overdue and for how long. This makes it well suited for cash-flow management, for planning payments and for reconciling supplier debt against the accounts.

## How to start the report

The report is started in **Financial**. You will find **Accounts payable balance** in two places: from the supplier overview (under Suppliers) and from the accounting report menu. Select the report in the report selector, fill in the parameters and run it.

The report comes in both a **PDF variant** and an **Excel variant**. The PDF variant is best for printing and review, while the Excel variant can be split per organizational unit and is suited for further processing.

## Parameters

When you start the report, you can narrow the result using the following parameters.

### Org. units

Limits the balance to one or more organizational units. If you leave the field empty, all units you have access to are included.

### From date (Fra dato)

Only includes entries with a fiscal date on or after this date. Leave the field empty for no start date, so all entries up to and including the As of fiscal date count. From date and As of fiscal date are shown on the same row in the print dialog.

### As of fiscal date

The date the balance is calculated up to and including. The report shows the supplier debt as it stands on this fiscal date. The field is always pre-filled with today's date; change it if you want the balance as of an earlier date.

### Entries

Determines which entries are included. You can choose **Overdue only** (arrears), **Not overdue** or **All**. The default is all entries.

### Account

Limits to a specific control account number. If the field is left empty, all accounts are included.

### Supplier number

Limits the report to a single supplier. Leave the field empty to include all suppliers.

### Supplier category (Leverandørkategori)

Limits the report to suppliers in the selected supplier category. The category applies as it is set for the supplier in the org. unit the entry belongs to. Leave the field empty to include all supplier categories.

### Split per org. unit (Excel only)

Splits the result per organizational unit. This setting only takes effect in the **Excel variant** of the report.

### Settings support can configure

The printout also has a few settings that control its behaviour and grouping but are not shown in the print dialog. They can be adjusted by support per company. If you want the balance list set up differently, contact support and refer to the relevant setting below. The technical name of each setting is shown in parentheses.

**Period and due dates**

- Calculate overdue days from today's date instead of the financial date (duedaysbasedoncurrentdate)

**Grouping**

- Group entries by account (grouponaccount)

- Group entries by supplier (grouponactor)
