# Products

Look up products in Sapera Mobile, see stock balance per location, add barcodes and images, add attachments and edit sales prices.

Under **Products** you can look up the company's items, see their details, stock and prices – and maintain images, barcodes and attachments directly from the phone.

## The product list

-   **Search** for products, and change **organizational unit** at the top.
    
-   **Scan** a barcode to open the product directly.
    
-   Tap a product to view it.
    

## View a product

On the product you see:

-   A **summary** with **display name**, **product number**, **description**, **stock location** and **sales price**.
    
-   **Stock balance** – how many are in stock, split by locations/units.
    
-   **Barcodes** linked to the product.
    
-   **Images** on the product.
    
-   **Attachments** (for example documents and guides).
    

## Add a barcode

You can **add a barcode** to the product – either by scanning it or by typing it. This makes it faster to find and scan the item in the future.

## Images

The product has its own **Images** section. Tap **+** to choose how the image should come in:

-   **Take a photo** with the camera.
    
-   **Pick an image** from the phone.
    

Once the image has been added, you can tap it to open it – or use the actions on the line:

-   **Edit** – enter an **alternative text** for the image.
    
-   **Make primary** – make the image the product's primary image. The primary image is marked in the list.
    
-   **Up** / **Down** – move the image so the order is right.
    
-   **Remove** – delete the image from the product.
    

## Attachments

Besides images you can add **attachments** to the product, for example an installation guide or a data sheet. When you add an attachment:

1.  Choose **Take a photo**, **Pick an image** or **Record a video**.
    
2.  Enter a **file name**. The file name must not contain invalid characters – otherwise you get a message.
    
3.  Choose which documents the attachment should be included on: **Invoice**, **Sales order** and/or **Quote**. That way the guide, for example, automatically follows the documents sent to the customer when the item is sold.
    
4.  Save.
    

Tap an attachment to open it. You can also **edit** an existing attachment – both the name and which documents it is included on – or **remove** it again.

## Edit sales prices

Under sales prices you can see and **edit the product's prices**. Per price type you see, among other things, **cost price**, **sales price**, whether the price is **applicable** and **active**, its **active interval**, and which price is the **current** one.

## Good to know

-   Which fields, prices and locations are shown follows your setup in Financial.
    
-   The stock balance is the same as the one you see in Financial.
    
-   If you cannot see the menu item, you probably do not have permission for it – contact support.
