# Inventory status

Dead stock and items that need action — oldest first.

The **Lager-status** (Inventory status) tab is inventory's action centre: dead stock and items that need attention, with the oldest at the top.

## What the page shows

- Total inventory value, number of products in stock and the value of dead stock (over 2 years).

- A list of products sorted by **Ældste lager (dage)** (oldest stock, days) — the age of the product's oldest layer. These are the candidates for write-down or campaign.

## How to use it

- Filter by **Afdeling** (department — the stock's org. unit) and category.

- Work the list top-down — the oldest ties up the most capital.

## Good to know

- Dead stock = the value of layers received more than 730 days (2 years) ago. It is about age, not about whether the item has had any movements.

- The inventory value here comes from the ageing calculation (remaining quantity × weighted average cost price), so it can differ slightly from the inventory value on the other inventory pages.
