# List preferences and saved views

Filter and sort lists in Sapera Mobile, save your preferences as a view, share it with colleagues, and set it as the default.

Most lists in Sapera Mobile – tasks, sales orders, serial-number items, stock drafts and the inbox – can be filtered and sorted, and you can **save your preferences as a view** you can quickly switch back to. It is the fastest route to, for example, "my open tasks" or "orders ready for invoicing".

## How to open the list preferences

Tap the **filter icon** in the menu at the top of the list (on iPhone it says **Filter**). The **Edit list preferences** dialog opens.

## Filter and sort

The dialog has two sections:

- **Filters** – the filters of the list. Which filters exist depends on the list: for example status, type, responsible, created by and dates. Some filters can have several selected values at once.

- **Sorting** – which fields the list is sorted by, and in which direction. The section is only shown on lists where sorting can be chosen.

At the bottom you choose what should happen:

- **Apply** – use the preferences now without saving them. They apply until you switch away.

- **Save** – save the changes to the view you are working in.

- **Save as** – save the preferences as a new view.

- **Remove** – delete the view you have open. Only shown when you are in a saved view.

- **Close** – close the dialog without changing anything.

## Save a view

If you choose **Save** or **Save as**, **Save list preferences** opens, where you specify:

- **Name** – the name the view gets. Must be filled in.

- **Scope** – who the view applies to.

- **Defaults** – whether the view should open automatically.

Under **Scope** you choose between **For me**, **For all users** and **For user groups**. If you choose user groups, you must select at least one group under **User groups**.

Under **Defaults** you can set the view as the **Global default** (opens by default regardless of which organizational unit you work in) or as the **Default for the current organizational unit** (only opens by default in the unit you are in now).

## Switch between saved views

When saved views exist for the list, they appear as a horizontal row at the top. Tap a view to switch to it – the selected one is marked. At the end you find **Edit...**, which opens the list preferences for the selected view.

## Good to know

- Views you save **For me** are only seen by you. Views for all users or for user groups are also seen by your colleagues – so give them a name others can understand.

- If you do not have permission to save views for others, you can still save your own. Contact support if you are missing access.

- Free-text search is in the search field on the list and is independent of the list preferences. You can choose whether the search field automatically gets focus under **Settings → Search**.
