# AI assistant in Financial (Sapera Assistant)

Sapera Assistant is a built-in AI chat in Financial that can suggest and create actions for you and look things up in the help articles. You can also have AI improve text.

Sapera Assistant is a built-in AI chat in Financial. It can suggest and create actions for you and look things up in the help articles. You can also have AI improve text in text fields around the system.

## Open the assistant

Click the round assistant button in the bottom right corner of Financial, or press **Alt + Shift + A** (Mac: **Option + Shift + A**). You can drag the button to move it. Close the assistant with **Esc** or the cross.

If you cannot see the button, you probably do not have permission for it – contact support.

## How to use it

Type – or speak by clicking the microphone – what you want done, for example "Create a quote for \[customer\] for \[quantity\] pcs. of \[product\]".

Among other things, the assistant can create purchase orders, sales orders, quotes, sales and purchase invoices, register invoice payments, settle customers' open items (up to 200 customers per run), post entries in a draft, and look up help articles.

**Approve or reject:** Before anything is created, the assistant shows a **suggestion**. Check it and click **Approve** (it is then created as an unbooked draft) or **Reject**. After approval you can open the created document directly from the chat.

**Clear chat:** Click the trash-can icon **Clear chat** at the top of the chat to clear the conversation and start over. The button is not active while the assistant is working.

The AI assistant can make mistakes. You are always responsible for the actions that are carried out.

## Usage

Below the text field, **Your usage** and **Total** for the current financial period are shown, if you have permission to see them.

## Improve text with AI

Below multi-line text fields and text editors, the **Improve text with AI** button is shown. Click it to have spelling, grammar and language corrected. If you are not happy with the result, click **Undo** to get your original text back.

## For administrators: access

-   The feature must be enabled for your solution – contact support.
    
-   Turn on **Is AI enabled** under **Setup** and **Settings** in the **Ai** category (administrator only). It also holds **Anthropic model** and **Anthropic effort**.
    
-   Give the user group the permissions **Use AI**, **View own AI usage** and **View total AI usage** under **Security**, **Groups** and **Permissions**.
