ePay (also known as Bambora/Nets ePay) is an online payment gateway that allows your webshop to accept payments by payment card. Sapera uses the integration to capture, check the status of, and optionally refund card transactions linked to invoices, sales orders and payment links.
The information on this page is provided by ePay when you sign an agreement with them. It must be filled in before card payments via ePay can be carried out.
The settings are found in Shop Manager:
1. Open the hamburger menu in the top left corner, and select Shop Manager. 2. Go to Setup → Settings → Financial → ePay.
EPay Member Number: The business's member/merchant number at ePay. The number identifies to ePay which account a transaction belongs to, and is sent with every call to the payment gateway. Without a valid number, card payments via ePay cannot be carried out or captured. The field is empty by default.
EPay Password: The API password (merchant password) for the ePay web service, which is provided by ePay. It is sent together with the member number on calls to ePay (capture, retrieve transaction, delete/refund) and protects the merchant account against unauthorized transactions. The field is empty by default.
EPay Md5 Key: The secret MD5 key agreed with ePay. The key is used to validate the authenticity of the responses ePay sends back to Sapera when a customer has completed a card payment. It ensures that a payment message actually comes from ePay and has not been forged. The field is empty by default.
Note: Access to this settings page and editing of the three fields requires the correct permissions in Sapera. Treat the password and MD5 key in particular as sensitive information.
