Dashboards is a view screen in Sapera Pos that gathers selected widgets into a single overview. A dashboard is built from rows and columns of widgets, and each widget can show a specific content type: a report, an external URL in an embedded frame, HTML content, application notes, notifications or data health checks.
Dashboards are created and configured in a separate setup screen (Dashboard setup). This article describes the view screen itself, where you as a user see the content.
From the hamburger menu in the top left corner of Sapera, open Pos. In the left menu, select Dashboards.
The screen can also be opened via the icon on the left side of the application's top bar. The icon is only shown if at least one default dashboard that you have access to has been configured.
If you cannot see the menu item in the menu, you probably do not have permission to it. Contact support.
When the screen opens, the dashboard marked as default is loaded automatically.
If you have access to more than one dashboard, a selector is shown at the top of the screen, where you can switch between the available dashboards.
Selector: The dropdown list shows the dashboards you have access to. It is only visible if there is more than one dashboard.
If you do not have access to any dashboards, the message "There are no dashboards" is shown.
A dashboard can contain the following types of widgets:
Report: Shows a report as PDF directly in the screen. If the report has parameters that must be specified by the user, these can be changed via a gear icon at the top of the widget. The report can also be downloaded in a format of your choice via a download icon.
External URL: Shows an external web page or external system embedded in the widget via an iframe.
HTML content: Shows free text or HTML formatted content directly in the widget.
Application notes: Shows notes from the application note feature for a specific note type.
Notifications: Shows system notifications.
Data health check: Shows results from Sapera's internal data health checks.
Access to each dashboard is controlled via Sapera's permission system. If you do not have access to a dashboard, an error message is shown and the dashboard cannot be opened. The administrator grants access via the security setup in Pos.
