This printout generates the exchange labels for a sale — that is, the labels the customer takes home, so an item can be exchanged within the exchange deadline. For each exchange label, a barcode/identification, the label's activation and expiry date (the exchange deadline), quantity and amount as well as the selected item are printed. The amount is also printed as an internal, coded letter text, so staff can read the value without it appearing directly in plain text. The label also shows the store's name and unit.
The printout is intended to be printed on a label/sticker and given to the customer together with the sold item.
The printout has no user-selected parameters. It automatically retrieves:
- the current sale (the exchange label operation itself), which is generated by the Pos at the transaction, and - the current store/org. unit based on the POS context.
So you do not have to choose a date, item or anything else — everything is set automatically.
The exchange labels are generated automatically from the Pos (POS), when exchange labels are created for a transaction. The labels are printed on the printer selected in the POS's exchange label setup. There is no separate report dialog to fill in — the printout is triggered as part of the sales flow in the Pos.
You can control whether and how exchange labels are generated via the exchange label setup in the Pos's settings.
