Open entries (light) is a simplified arrears and open-entries list for one single customer. The report lists the customer's unsettled entries (vouchers) with text, the original amount and the remaining (overdue) amount, summed up in a total row. Behind the figures, the report also calculates an aging of the outstanding amount (under 30 days, 30-60 days, 60-90 days and so on up to more than 120 days) as well as the due date as of the cut-off date you select. It is typically used as a quick overview of what a specific customer owes, and how old the outstanding amount is — for example as an attachment to a reminder or in connection with a conversation with the customer.
The report is the "light" version of the full Open entries report. It also pulls the customer's master data, the organizational unit and your own company's details (logo, address and payment details), so they are shown correctly in the header and footer.
Open entries (light) is started directly from the individual customer card. You find the customer under the customer overview, open the customer card and run the report from there. Because the report always ties to a specific customer, it does not appear in the general report overview — it is pulled with the selected customer's details already set. You therefore do not have to select a customer yourself; that happens automatically based on the customer card you are on.
When you run the report, you can fill in two fields yourself. All other settings (logo, watermark, payment details and so on) are controlled automatically by the system and the template's setup.
The cut-off date that due status and aging are calculated from. For each entry, the report assesses how far the outstanding amount is overdue relative to this date, and distributes the amounts into the age intervals. The field is not pre-filled, so here you select the date the arrears list should be calculated as of yourself.
Limits which entries are included, so the report only shows entries posted up to and including this fiscal date. If you leave the field empty, the entries are included without this upper limit. Use the field if you want to see the customer's outstanding amount as it appeared as of a specific posting date.
The printout also has a wide range of settings that control its appearance and behaviour but are not shown in the print dialog. They can be turned on/off or adjusted by support per company. If you want the unsettled-invoice list customized, contact support and refer to the relevant setting below. The technical name of each setting is shown in parentheses.
