Templates are predefined configurations used as a starting point when a new tenant is to be created in Sapera. A template determines which features should be available and ensures a consistent setup across tenants.
The screen is visible only to DBO administrators and users logged in within a template context.
From the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of Sapera, open Financial.
In the left menu, select Template.
If you cannot see the menu item, you probably do not have permission to access it. Contact support.
Name: The template's unique identifier. Cannot be changed after creation.
Description: Optional free-text description of the template's purpose.
Schema initialization: Shows the status of the database schema's initialization after creation.
Model initialization: Shows the status of the data model's initialization.
Master data initialization: Shows the status of the master data (metadata) initialization.
Schema: The database schema name the template is linked to.
1. Click the button with the plus sign (New) at the top of the screen.
2. Fill in the Name field. The name must be unique and can be a maximum of 20 characters. It cannot be changed after creation.
3. Optionally fill in the Description field with a short explanation of the template's purpose.
4. Select the features to be enabled for the template by ticking them in the tree structure. Use the buttons Select all and Select none to select or deselect all features at once.
5. Save by clicking Save or apply changes via the form ribbon.
1. Select the desired template in the list.
2. Click the edit button (pencil) at the top, or double-click the row.
3. You can change the Description and adjust the selected features. The name cannot be changed.
4. Save the changes.
Select the template in the list and click the delete button (cross). The action is permanent.
The button group Start setup / Finish setup allows you to temporarily log in to the template's context to configure settings directly on the template, as if you were logged in as a tenant based on that template.
1. Select a template in the list and click Start setup. The system switches to the template context.
2. Make the desired configuration changes in the relevant modules.
3. Click Finish setup to return to the normal DBO context. It is not possible to start setup of a new template before the ongoing setup is finished.
If the installation process for a template fails, you can select the template and click Rerun installation to attempt the installation again.
