A layout group is a named section used to divide fields into groups on the actor edit screen. Layout groups are defined here and can subsequently be attached to one or more layouts under the "Layouts" menu item. When an actor is opened for editing, the field groups are shown as separate sections — optionally collapsed by default.
System-defined layout groups (marked as system groups) are predefined and cannot be renamed with a new system name.
From the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of Sapera, open Financial. In the left menu, select Actors → Layout groups. By default, the screen displays a list of all existing layout groups sorted by the saved order.
If you cannot see the menu item, you probably do not have permission to access it. Contact support.
You can create a new layout group by clicking the "New" button in the top-right corner.
You can edit an existing layout group by selecting it in the list and clicking "Edit", or by double-clicking the row.
You can adjust the order of layout groups using the "Move up" and "Move down" buttons. Then click "Save order" to save the new sort order. The order is reflected in layouts when the field groups are displayed on the actor edit form.
System name: A unique technical name that identifies the layout group in the system. The system name must be unique and cannot be changed on system-defined layout groups.
Display name: The name users see as the heading for the section on the actor edit screen.
Description: An optional free-text description for internal use that explains the purpose of the layout group.
