The general settings control basic system behaviour that applies across Sapera. The category currently contains one setting: which time zone Sapera should use when times need to be displayed and calculated correctly.
The settings are accessed via Financial:
1. Open the hamburger menu in the top left corner of Sapera and select Financial. 2. Go to Setup → Settings → General.
Changing the settings typically requires administrator or setup permissions.
TimeZone: Specifies the time zone Sapera uses for the organization. The time zone is used on the server side to display and calculate times correctly — for example receipt times, journals and reports. The setting can be set differently per organizational unit, so stores in different time zones can each have their own time zone. If no time zone is selected for an organizational unit, the default value is used.
The default value is (UTC+01:00) Brussels, Copenhagen, Madrid, Paris, which corresponds to Danish time.
