Features are the building blocks that control which parts of Sapera are enabled for a given tenant or template. Each feature has a system name, e.g. "Actors.BasicActors", and is registered by the module that owns it. The features are organized into feature groups, making them easier to overview and manage.
The "Features" screen is intended solely for system administrators and DBO administrators. Regular users and tenant administrators do not have access to this screen.
From the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of Sapera, open Financial. In the left menu, select Features.
The screen shows a tree structure with all registered feature groups and the features attached to them. Features that are not assigned to a group are shown under "Default group".
If you cannot see the menu item, you probably do not have permission to access it. Contact support.
The tree view shows feature groups as parent nodes and the individual features as child nodes. You can click a node to view and edit its details in the form on the right.
Click Edit in the toolbar to open edit mode for the selected feature or group.
Click New group to create a new feature group.
For a feature group you can edit the following fields:
Name: The group's name (max. 20 characters).
Description: A short description of the group (max. 20 characters).
For a feature you can edit the following:
Name: Shows the feature's description as it appears internally (max. 20 characters).
Is required in parent group: Checkbox indicating whether the feature is mandatory within its feature group. If a feature is required in its group, it means that other features depending on the group automatically pull this feature along.
Click Save to save the changes, or Cancel to discard.
Features can have dependencies on other features. When a feature is selected on a tenant or template, its dependencies are marked automatically (shown with a special indicator). This happens in the screens for tenants and templates, not directly on this screen.
