Groups are used to gather actors (customers, suppliers, contacts, etc.) into logical units. You can use groups to filter, report and control access permissions across organizational units. A group can have an associated role, which the system uses to automatically synchronize actors' group membership based on role assignment.
From the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of Sapera, open Financial. In the left menu, select Actors → Groups. You get a list of all groups created in the system.
If you cannot see the menu item, you probably do not have permission to access it. Contact support.
From the list, you can create a new group by clicking the plus button in the toolbar. To edit an existing group, select it and click the edit icon, or double-click the row. You delete a selected group with the delete button.
Name is the displayed name of the group. The field is mandatory and has a maximum length.
Image is an optional image (media library item) that can be attached to the group.
Role is only shown if the group is linked to a system role. The field is read-only and is controlled automatically by the system. The role is used to synchronize actors' group membership based on role assignment.
While editing a group, you find the Membership tab, where you can add and remove actors as members of the group. You search for an actor and add it with a click; removal is done on the selected actor in the list.
When you edit an existing group, the Group info tab is shown with system information:
Created by and Created on indicate who created the group and when.
Updated by and Updated on indicate the most recent change.
