The quote printout is the actual quote document you send to the customer. It collects the quote's information into a finished, multi-page document with your company's sender information at the top and the quoted line items with prices and totals.
The printout is used when you want to give the customer a written quote — either as a PDF for printing or directly by email.
At the top the sender's information is shown: the company's name, CVR number, address, contact and bank details as well as logo. Then the customer's name, address and account number are shown together with quote number, date and any customer or requisition reference.
The actual content is the quoted line items with item, description, quantity, price and VAT as well as any serial numbers or variants. At the bottom, line and total amounts are summarized. If the quote spans more than one page, page subtotals are shown along the way, and the document can contain a barcode as well as a public note or subject text to the customer.
The quote printout is started from the individual quote in Financial:
1. Go to Sales and open Quotes. 2. Find and open the quote you want to print. 3. Press the printer icon in the top right corner. 4. Select Quote in the list of printouts. 5. Select the desired format — save as PDF for printing, or send the quote directly to the customer by email.
The printout is generated automatically from the quote you have opened and requires no manual parameters — the quote number is carried over from the selected quote. The layout itself (logo, barcode, page subtotals, whether prices are shown with or without VAT, etc.) is controlled by your setup and is not something you choose for the individual printout.
There is also a simplified version of the quote printout, Quote (Light), which shows the same quote information in a simpler layout. You select it the same way in the printout list on the quote.
The quote also has a range of settings that control its appearance and behaviour but are not shown in the print dialog. They can be turned on/off or adjusted by support per company. If you want the quote customized, contact support and refer to the relevant setting below. The technical name of each setting is shown in parentheses.
