Sapera is connected to the Danish Motor Register (DMR). When you create or edit a serial-number product for a vehicle and enter the registration number, Sapera looks up the vehicle and automatically fills in the fields you have mapped to the register's data – for example make, model, model year, fuel, engine size, gross weight and first registration date. It saves typing and keeps the data consistent. The feature is aimed at machine dealers and dealers who trade in vehicles.
The register's data is imported into Sapera automatically and refreshed every week, so you do not have to start an import yourself.
How to find the feature
Open Financial from the hamburger menu in the top left corner. The lookup itself happens on the serial-number product (the Serial-number products menu item), and the mapping to the register is set up on product fields (Product and then Product fields).
If you cannot see the menu item, you probably do not have permission for it – contact support.
Setup (done once)
Open Product fields and create the fields you want filled from the register (for example "Make", "Model" and "First registration date"), or edit existing fields.
In the DMR field selector, choose which piece of register data the field should receive. The list only shows the data that matches the field's Type – for example only numbers for Integer and Decimal, only a date for Date, and yes/no for Boolean. Leave DMR field empty if the field should not be filled from the register.
Add the fields to the product template your vehicle products use.
How to use it
Create or edit a serial-number product whose product uses the template.
Enter the vehicle's registration number in the Reg. no. field.
After a moment, a small line appears under the field with the make, model and model year from the register, and the mapped fields are filled in.
Check the data and save the serial-number product.
Note: If a field is already filled and the vehicle is found in the register, the field value is overwritten with the register's data. If the registration number is not found, or the register has no value for a field, nothing happens and you can fill the fields in yourself.
Data you can map a field to
Identification: Registration number, Chassis number, Status, Registration status, Type-approval number.
Vehicle: Make, Model, Variant, Type, Model year, First registration date, Vehicle category, Use, Euro standard, Number of doors, Seats (min), Seats (max).
Engine and fuel: Fuel, Displacement, Maximum power, Km per litre, CO2 emission, Top speed, Number of cylinders, Mileage.
Weight and towing: Gross weight, Technical gross weight, Kerb weight (min), Can tow, Towing weight with brakes, Towing weight without brakes, Number of axles.
Tips
The data follows the register's updates and may be up to a week old.
The lookup only happens when the product's template has at least one field mapped to a DMR field.
The feature must be enabled on your solution – contact support if the lookup does not fill anything in.

A product template is a configurable collection of product fields that controls which dynamic fields are available on products and product categories. Templates can organize fields into named groups and mark fields as visible in the webshop.
Serial-number items
A serial-number item is a unique instance of a base product with its own serial number, barcode and registration number. The screen gives an overview of all serial-number items, the ability to create, edit, copy and delete them, as well as access to tabs for costs, financial entries, rental contracts, history, payment plans and attachments.
