A layout determines which fields are shown on an actor card and how the fields are organized into groups. You can create multiple layouts and assign them to different roles, so employees with one role see an actor card with one set of fields, while another role sees a different one.
A layout consists of one or more layout groups. Each layout group gathers related fields and can optionally be shown collapsed by default. Within a group, the fields are placed in a specific order and optionally in two columns (left/right).
From the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of Sapera, open Financial. In the left menu, select Actor Library → Layouts.
If you cannot see the menu item, you probably do not have permission to access it. Contact support.
The list screen shows all existing layouts with two columns: systemName (the unique technical name) and displayName (the name shown in the user interface).
You create a new layout by clicking the plus button in the top-right corner. You edit an existing layout by selecting it and clicking the edit button, or by double-clicking the row.
System name is the technical name that uniquely identifies the layout across the system. The system name cannot be changed on layouts that are marked as system layouts.
Display name is the name the user sees in the interface.
The editor shows a list of the layout groups included in the current layout. For each group, the group name and which fields the group contains are shown.
You add a group with the plus button. You edit a selected group with the edit button or by double-clicking. You remove a selected group with the delete button. You change the order of groups with the up and down arrows.
When you open a layout group for editing, you select which layout group to use (created under the menu item Layout groups).
Collapsed by default is a checkbox that determines whether the group is collapsed when the actor card is opened.
Under the group, you add the fields that should be shown. For each field you specify:
Field is the custom field to be shown in the group.
Column determines whether the field is placed in the left or right column on the actor card.
Display name is the label shown next to the field. By default, the text is taken from the field's own display name, but you can customize it here for the specific layout.
The order of fields within the group is adjusted with the up and down arrows.
