Dashboard setup is the screen where you manage the dashboards that can be shown to users in Sapera. A dashboard consists of rows and widgets that you assemble and resize yourself. Widgets can contain reports, notifications, application notes, external URLs or HTML content.
Each dashboard can be marked as default, and access permissions can be set on each dashboard so that only certain users see it.
From the hamburger menu in the top left corner of Sapera, open Financial. In the left menu, select Setup → Dashboard setup.
If you cannot see the menu item in the menu, you probably do not have permission to it. Contact support.
From the list of dashboards you can create a new dashboard, edit an existing one, delete a dashboard, and view a preview directly in the list without leaving the screen.
You can set a dashboard as default by selecting it and choosing the action Set as default. A dashboard can likewise be removed from default status. By definition, only one dashboard can be the default at a time.
Via Permissions you can control which users have access to the dashboard in question.
When you create or edit a dashboard, you fill in the following fields.
System name: A unique technical name for the dashboard. The system name can only be specified on creation and cannot be changed afterwards.
Display name: The name that users see.
Inside the editing of a dashboard you add widgets. Each widget is placed in a row, and the width of widgets and the height of rows can be adjusted by dragging the divider lines.
When you add a widget, you choose its Type. The type cannot be changed afterwards. The available types are:
Report: Shows a Sapera report directly in the dashboard. You select which report is shown.
External URL: Embeds an external web address in the widget. The URL must be a valid web address.
Application notes: Shows application notes of a specific type.
Notifications: Shows system notifications to the user.
Data health check: Shows notifications from data health checks.
HTML: Shows free-text HTML that you write yourself using an editor.
