Quote - light is a simplified version of the quote printout. It shows the same basic information as the standard quote - customer and customer information, quote number, subject, item lines as well as VAT and total amounts - but in a more compact layout that typically takes up less space on paper. The light version is used when you want to send or print a clear quote without the full details and texts from the standard version.
The printout gathers the information from the open quote: the customer's name and address (and possibly phone, email, VAT number and contact person), quote number and subject, the item lines with item text, quantity, price and any discount in percent, as well as totals split into VAT and VAT-free amounts. Depending on the setup, the printout can also contain logo, watermark, an ACCEPTED stamp, validity text, GDPR text, retention of title and footer or bank details.
The printout is generated from the quote you have opened and has no user-selected parameters. The layout itself - logo, watermark, which customer information and texts are shown, whether discount is shown in percent etc. - is controlled by the setup and the template and is not selected at the printout.
The printout is started in Financial from the individual quote:
1. Go to Sales and then Quotes. 2. Open the quote you want to print. 3. Click the printer icon in the top right corner. 4. Select the light version of the quote printout in the print dialog.
The printout is shown as a PDF, which you can print or save and send to the customer.
The quote (light) also has a long range of settings that control its appearance and behaviour but are not shown in the print dialog. They can be turned on/off or adjusted by support per company. If you want the quote customized, contact support and refer to the relevant setting below. The technical name of each setting is shown in parentheses.
VAT
Control VAT on item lines — auto, with VAT or without VAT (vatOnLines)
Customize VAT texts: VAT, VAT-exempt and the text for used-margin serial-number items (vattext, wowattext, usedvattext)
Show the customer's VAT/CVR number (showCustomerVatno)
Font and borders
Choose the font for the whole printout (fontType)
Left/right borders on item lines (siteBorder)
Logo
Show or hide the logo and choose which logo is used (showLogo, logoName)
Adjust the logo's margins — left/top/bottom/right (leftPaddingOnLogo, topPaddingOnLogo, rightPaddingOnLogo, etc.)
Watermark
Show or hide a watermark and choose the image file (hideWatermark, watermarkName)
Adjust the watermark's margins — left/top/bottom/right (leftPaddingOnWatermark, topPaddingOnWatermark, rightPaddingOnWatermark, etc.)
Texts and headings
Name the printout instead of "QUOTE" (salesorderquotetext)
Text instead of "Handled by" (employeetext)
Show the "Subject to change..." text (showSubjectToChangeText)
Show retention-of-title text, "We reserve the right of ownership" (propertyRightText)
The quote's validity in number of days (validNumberOfDays)
Link to privacy policy / GDPR text (showGDPRText)
Footer
Hide the entire footer (hideFooter)
Hide bank details in the footer (hidefooterbankinfo)
Hide the barcode (hideBarcode)
Hide the ACCEPTED logo (hideAcceptImage)
Item lines
Show or hide the item number and set the font size for item numbers (showitemidentifier, stockNoFontSize)
Line length and lines per page (linelength, lineperpage)
Hide quantity/price when the item number starts with TXT (hideInfoforTXTno)
