This article explains how to set up a Verifone P400 payment terminal in Sapera. The P400 terminal is controlled by the Sapera agent (Agent application), and there are only very few settings in Sapera. The connection between the agent and the terminal itself is made via the terminal's IP address, which is entered on the computer where the agent runs — and not in Sapera. For the remaining setup of the terminal, please refer to Verifone's own documentation.
1. Open the hamburger menu in the top-left corner and select "Financial".
2. Go to "Setup" → "Settings" → "Point of Sales" → "Agent application" → "Verifone P400 Terminal".
The settings for the P400 are so-called 0/1 flags, where 1 means turned on and 0 means turned off.
Is Enabled: Turns the Verifone P400 payment terminal on (1) or off (0) in the agent. Set the value to 1 when the P400 terminal is used, and 0 if it should not be active. By default the value is 0 (turned off).
Under the "General" subcategory there are two settings that control how the receipt is printed together with the card receipt from the terminal.
Print as one receipt: Set the value to 1 if Sapera's receipt should be printed continuously with the card receipt from the terminal, so the customer gets one combined receipt. Set the value to 0 if the two receipts should be printed separately. By default the value is 0 (separate receipts).
Print in bold: Set the value to 1 if the entire receipt should be printed in bold so the text is more readable. Set the value to 0 if the receipt should be printed in normal text. By default the value is 1 (bold turned on).
