Open Financial from the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of Sapera. Go to Product and select Products. Find and open the product you want to change, and click the button Settings at the top of the product view. The "Edit product settings" dialog opens.
If you cannot see the menu item, you most likely do not have permission for it. Contact support.
Many fields in the dialog use an OverrideMode field. This means that by default the field value is inherited from the product category. You can choose to Inherit from category, so the product always follows the category setting, or you can Override and specify a specific value directly on the product. The option to override is only available if the relevant feature is enabled at system level.
Template: Optional dropdown for selecting a product template. The template can control default fields and appearance for the product.
Variant template: Dropdown for selecting a variant template. The field is only shown when variant management support is active for the product (see below).
These fields are only shown if product instances are allowed at system level.
Support [serial number items]: OverrideMode field. Determines whether the product supports serial number items (product instances). The field is visible when the system allows product instances.
Allow [serial number item stock] as base item: OverrideMode field. Determines whether a serial number item can be added to stock as a separate base item. Only shown when product instance support is active for this product.
[Serial number item designation] template: Dropdown for selecting a template for serial number items associated with the product. Only shown when instances are active.
Show select [serial number item designation] dialog on sale: OverrideMode field. Determines whether the cashier is presented with a dialog for selecting a serial number item during a sale. Only shown when "Allow serial number item stock as base item" is active.
These fields are only shown if variant management is allowed at system level.
Support variant management: OverrideMode field. Determines whether the product supports variant management. Only shown when variant management is allowed at system level.
Variant template: Dropdown for selecting a variant template. Only shown when variant management is active for the product.
Is hourly rate product: Checkbox. Check this field if the product represents an hourly rate (working hours).
Product units: Catalog dropdown for selecting the unit type for the product, e.g. pcs., liters or kg.
Show price dialog: Checkbox. When checked, a price dialog is shown to the cashier when the item is scanned, so the sales price can be entered manually. Tooltip: "Price selector is shown when scanning the item."
Allow change of sales price: OverrideMode field. Determines whether the cashier can change the sales price during a sale. The field is only shown when "Show price dialog" is not checked.
Show product page on sale: Checkbox. When checked, the product page is shown automatically when the item is scanned, and the cashier can add it to the cart from there. Tooltip: "The product page is shown when scanning the item and an Add to cart button will be available on this page."
Force quantity = 1: Checkbox. The product is always added as a new line with quantity 1 in the cart, even if it is already in the cart. Only shown when serial number items are not active for the product.
Show on POS: Checkbox. Determines whether the product is visible in the POS. The field is only shown when the product is activated.
Update supported sales prices from composite products: Checkbox. Only shown for composite products. When checked, the product's supported sales prices are updated automatically based on the prices of the composite sub-products.
Should be financially posted as its own entry: Checkbox. When checked, the product is financially posted separately after cash reconciliation. Tooltip: "Financially posted separately after cash reconciliation."
Allow decimal numbers: Checkbox. Determines whether the product can be sold in quantities with decimals (e.g. 0.5 pcs.).
When the product is marked as phased out, two extra fields are shown.
Phased out: Checkbox. Mark the product as phased out. Tooltip: "Can no longer be ordered. Can however still be included in the POS search results." The cashier can still find and sell the product, but it cannot be reordered.
Phased out date: Date field. Only shown when "Phased out" is checked. Specify the date from which the product is considered phased out.
Phased out product replaced by: Product lookup. Only shown when "Phased out" is checked. Specify the product that customers are suggested to buy instead of this phased-out product.
Account selection is required: Checkbox. The cashier is forced to select a financial account when selling the product.
Do not include in CM/CM%: Checkbox. The product is excluded from calculation of contribution margin and contribution margin ratio.
Include in lookup fields: Checkbox. Determines whether the product appears in search results in lookup and search fields.
Include in revenue: Checkbox. Determines whether sales of the product count towards revenue statements.
Sold without VAT: OverrideMode field. Determines whether the product is sold without VAT by default.
Purchased without VAT: OverrideMode field. Determines whether the product is purchased without VAT by default.
Automatic update of std. cost price: OverrideMode field (required). Determines the mode for automatic update of the standard cost price, e.g. whether the cost price is updated when new purchases are received.
Sort order: Integer field. Specify a numeric value to control the order in which the product is shown in lists and search results. Zero is allowed; negative numbers are not allowed.
Allow user-defined text: OverrideMode field (required). Determines whether the cashier can specify a free text (display name) for the product on sale, instead of the product's default name.
Color: Color picker. Associate a color with the product, which can be used for visual distinction in lists and the POS.
Amount per point: Integer field (positive). Specify the sales amount in DKK that earns one loyalty point. Used in loyalty programs where customers earn points per purchase.
Weight in grams: Number field. Specify the product's weight in grams. Used among other things to calculate shipping costs.
Height (cm): Number field. Specify the product's height in centimeters.
Length (cm): Number field. Specify the product's length in centimeters.
Width (cm): Number field. Specify the product's width in centimeters.
Can financial account be changed: OverrideMode field. Determines whether the financial account can be changed on sale or posting.
Auto-post stock consumption: OverrideMode field. Determines whether stock consumption is posted automatically when the product is sold.
Service type for serial items sold together with this product: Dropdown. Select the service workflow type that is started automatically for serial number items (product instances) sold in connection with this product. The dropdown contains the configured service types.
Use option set (pos): Required dropdown with three options:
Use option set (pos) from category (if defined) specifies that the POS fetches the option set from the product category, if a set is defined there.
Use option set from product specifies that the POS always uses the option set defined directly on the product.
Do not use specifies that no option set should be shown for this product, even if the category has one.
Print to production on sale completion: OverrideMode field (required). Determines whether a production sheet is printed automatically when the sale is completed. Relevant for products produced to order.
Use min/max: Checkbox. Enable this field to specify purchase settings with minimum and maximum quantity. When the field is checked, the sub-panel Purchase settings is shown.
The Purchase settings sub-panel contains the following fields:
Min quantity: Integer field. The smallest quantity that should be in stock. Zero is allowed.
Max quantity: Integer field. The largest quantity to order up to. Zero is allowed. Max quantity must always be greater than min quantity.
Package size: Integer field. Specify the supplier's package size, i.e. the number of units the product is delivered in per package. Positive integers; zero is not allowed.
Warn if package size does not match entered quantity: Checkbox. When checked, the cashier or planner is alerted if the purchased quantity is not a multiple of the package size.
Supports aggregate printout: Checkbox. Check this field if the product supports aggregation on printouts, e.g. production sheets. When the field is checked, the sub-panel Aggregated printout properties is shown.
The Aggregated printout properties sub-panel contains the following fields:
Aggregated identifier: Text field. Specify the identifier under which the product should be aggregated on aggregated printouts.
Aggregated display name: Text field. Specify the display name used on aggregated printouts.
Use print quantity: Checkbox. Determines whether quantity is shown on the aggregated printout.
The panel Fixed contribution margin ratio on service items allows you to specify a fixed contribution margin ratio for the product.
Inherit from category: Checkbox. When checked, the fixed contribution margin ratio is inherited from the associated product category, and the field for the ratio is read-only.
Fixed contribution margin ratio on service items: Number field. Specify the desired fixed contribution margin ratio in percent. The field is only editable when "Inherit from category" is not checked.
OK: Saves all changes in the dialog and closes it. The button is only active when the form is valid, i.e. all required fields are filled in and validations are met (including that max quantity is not less than min quantity in the purchase settings).
Close: Cancels the changes and closes the dialog without saving.
