Under Receipts you can register expense documents directly from the phone – take a picture of the receipt and save it so it is ready for posting.
Search the receipts, and change organizational unit at the top.
Tap New to create a receipt, or tap an existing one to open it.
You can remove a receipt from the list.
Take a photo of the receipt (on Android the camera opens automatically for a new receipt). A photo is required before the receipt can be saved.
Fill in the fields (see below).
Save.
Your choice of journal and account is remembered for next time, so repeated documents go faster.
Journal – the journal the receipt should be registered in. Required.
Account – the account the expense should be posted to. Required.
Date – the date of the receipt.
Amount – the amount of the expense. Required.
Description – what the expense covers. Required.
File name – the name the image file is saved under.
A receipt that has already been posted cannot be changed – you get a message if that is the case.
Which journals and accounts you can choose come from your accounting setup in Financial.
The receipt image is saved together with the entry, so the document follows it to bookkeeping.
