Actor preferences gather the settings that affect how you work with actors in Sapera, that is, for example customers and suppliers. In practice, the category consists of the subcategory Address Preferences, which controls how addresses are entered on actors. The settings here apply across all the places in the system where you create or edit an actor.
Open Financial from the menu in the top left corner of Sapera, and then go to Settings. The settings are located under UI Settings → Actor Preferences → Address Preferences.
Changing these settings typically requires administrator/setup permissions.
Use DAWA: Determines whether Sapera should use DAWA (the Danish Addresses Web API) to look up addresses and suggest them automatically. When the setting is enabled, Sapera suggests complete Danish addresses as you type in the address field on, for example, customers and suppliers, so that street, house number, postal code and city are filled in correctly and consistently. The default is Yes (enabled). If you disable the setting, addresses are entered manually without lookup. Note that the lookup only covers Danish addresses, so foreign addresses are always entered manually.
