This article walks through the web and SEO properties on a product in Sapera. The fields control how the product is presented in the webshop, how inventory is handled online, and the product's search engine optimization (SEO). The fields are only relevant if webshop is enabled for the solution.
The web and SEO properties are edited in a separate dialog that is opened from the product editing screen. For a walkthrough of all the other product fields, see New / edit product.
1. Open the product via Product -> Products and double-click the product (or create a new one).
2. Open the Web settings dialog from the product editing screen.
3. Fill in the fields and confirm.
The name the product is displayed with in the webshop. If the field is empty, the product's regular display name is used.
A short description (rich text) shown as the product's short text in the webshop. Edited in an HTML editor.
The full product description (rich text) for the webshop. Edited in an HTML editor.
Overrides the webshop's inventory policy for this product – i.e. how inventory is handled online. If the field is left empty, the default policy is used.
Overrides the handling of backorders for the product in the webshop – i.e. what happens when the item is out of stock. If the field is left empty, the default handling is used.
Checkbox. When set, the product is skipped during subsequent synchronization/updates, so local web customizations are not overwritten.
A short description for the webshop, used as the product's short description and for search engines. This is the SEO field the webshop integration (e.g. WooCommerce) uses.
