The host settings specify which Nets server (host) the payment terminal communicates with when a card payment is processed. The settings are read by the local agent (CRS Agent) on the POS and forwarded to the Nets/BAXI driver that controls the terminal.
The values are normally provided by Nets and should only be changed in agreement with them. Note: the default value for the IP address points to Nets' test environment — a POS in production must have the correct production values from Nets, otherwise payments will be rejected. The terminal itself is activated and set up under Nets payment terminal.
1. Open Settings in the Pos (the POS app).
2. Go to Agent application → Nets Payment Terminal → Host.
Host Port: The network port the driver uses to connect to the Nets host. The default value is 9670, which matches the standard setup. The port is normally not changed; any other value is provided by Nets.
Host Ip Address: The IP address of the Nets server the terminal communicates with. The default value 91.102.24.111 points to Nets' test environment. For production the field must be filled in with the production IP address from Nets (typically via VPN or a secure connection). If an incorrect address is entered, the terminal cannot reach Nets, and card payments will fail.
