The Margin-bridge (Margin bridge) tab explains why your contribution margin changed compared to the same period last year, split into three causes.
What the page shows
A waterfall chart: DB sidste år (margin last year) → Volumen (volume) → Mix → Pris (price) → DB i år (margin this year).
A key-figure card with the margin, the base (last year), the margin change and the three effects.
A table of margin, base and margin change per category and product, sorted by change.
How to use it
Pick Regnskabsår (fiscal year) at the top (defaults to "Indeværende år", the current year) and optionally a Periode (period).
Narrow down with Afdeling (department) and Kategori (category) to zoom in.
Read the waterfall from last year to this year: each step shows what explains the change.
Good to know
Volume: the change in revenue multiplied by last year's margin percentage — so revenue-based, not number of units.
Mix: a shift in sales between categories with different margin percentages.
Price: the change in margin percentage within the categories.
The comparison is always with the same period last year.
