Under the menu Setup -> Product catalogue setup you find configuration modules for your entire product and stock management in Sapera. This is where you define the overall rule sets, categories and structures around which your products are built.
Below you find a short explanation of each module. If you want to dive into the setup of a specific area, you can click through to the detailed guide.
This area covers everything to do with the physical and virtual storage of your items.
Warehouses: Here you create and manage your physical warehouses, stores or departments. [Read the detailed article about Warehouses]
Stock setup: Here you define the general system settings and rule sets for how stock balances, reservations and stock movements should behave. [Read the detailed article about Stock setup]
Product locations: Makes it possible to create very specific physical placements in your warehouse (e.g. Hall B, Shelf 4, Bay 2), so the items are easy to pick. There is an additional setting for whether product locations are a physical division of the warehouse or purely information about where the item should be found (contact support if needed).
These modules help you create structure so that items are easy to find for both employees and customers.
Product categories: Here you build the overall tree structure into which your items are divided (e.g. "Electronics" -> "Smartphones"). The primary purpose of product categories is to set up which accounts the product categories are posted to. [Read the detailed article about Product categories]
Search types: Here you create overall groupings for your search tags (e.g. the search type "Colour" or "Brand"). [Read the detailed article about Search types]
Search tags: Keywords (tags) that can be attached to specific items so they can easily be filtered and searched internally or in the web shop (e.g. "Red", "Samsung" or "Waterproof"). Search tags can be used for web shop mapping, discounts, etc.
Here you configure how the items are priced and how they interact during a sale.
Sales price types: Makes it possible to create and manage different price lists (e.g. specific B2B prices, VIP discounts or time-limited campaign prices).
Product relation types: Here you define how different products relate to each other. It is often used to set up rules for upselling, e.g. "Accessory" or "Alternative item".
Serial number item instalment plans: Here you can define rule sets and terms if you offer instalment payment or leasing on specific items that require serial number registration.
